• Bachelor degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years standard cost experience in manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting practices.
• SAP experience required.
• Highly proficient in Excel and computer skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow, design and/or implement cost accounting processes.
• Ensure cycle count is performed, completed and recorded in SAP.
• Assist in annual physical inventory and cost roll-up for all sites.
• Prepare monthly allocations (facilities, QC, EMS) and cost schedules.
• Assist in month-end, quarter, and year-end JE preparation.
• Assist in monthly reclassification of R&D inventory usage to customers.
• Review raw material, freight-in/out AP.
• Assist with costing recipes and provide data for auditors.

We are hiring a Cost Accountant. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Organization and the Finance & Accounting Department in compiling, analyzing, improving and developing conclusions and actionable plans on all matters relating to our standard cost system, including investigating variances and identifying process improvement opportunities through a team focused problem solving process.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Follow, design and/or implement cost accounting
• Ensure the continuous cycle count process is performed, completed and recorded in SAP.
• Assist in the annual physical inventory
• Assist in the annual cost roll-up for all sites. Produce certain cost-related schedules, review external inputs and analyze results
• Assist the preparation of JE’s for month-end, QTR and YE
• Assist in the preparation of monthly allocations (facilities & QC, & EMS miscellaneous costs).
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reclassification of R&D inventory usage & no-charge samples to customers.
• Review all raw material, freight-in & freight-out AP
• Assist with costing recipes.
• Providing costing data as needed by corporate auditing firm and parent
• Continuous improvement in SAP knowledge, with the goal of becoming a super-user.

Required Skills/Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related degree
• 3+ years of standard cost experience in a manufacturing environment
• An in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and deep knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing.
• SAP experience Required
• Highly proficient computer skills and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent in English

Salary and Benefits:

• For California, the base salary range for this position is $71,600 - $92,900. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
