FUJIFILM Biosciences in Santa Ana, CA seeks a Cost Accountant to support the Manufacturing Organization and Finance in cost analysis, standard costing, and process improvements. You will work with SAP and Excel to analyze variances and drive cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Follow, design and/or implement cost accounting.
• Ensure the continuous cycle count process is performed, completed and recorded in SAP.
• Assist in the annual physical inventory.
• Assist in the annual cost roll-up for all sites; produce cost schedules and analyze inputs.
• Assist in month-end, quarterly and year-end JE preparation.
• Assist monthly allocations (facilities, QC, EMS costs).
• Assist in monthly R&D inventory reclassifications to customers.
• Review material, freight-in/out AP.
• Assist with costing recipes.
• Provide costing data to auditors and parent.
• Aim to continuously improve SAP knowledge and become a super-user.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Organization and the Finance & Accounting Department in compiling, analyzing, improving and developing conclusions and actionable plans on all matters relating to our standard cost system, including investigating variances and identifying process improvement opportunities through a team focused problem solving process.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Follow, design and/or implement cost accounting
• Ensure the continuous cycle count process is performed, completed and recorded in SAP.
• Assist in the annual physical inventory
• Assist in the annual cost roll-up for all sites. Produce certain cost-related schedules, review external inputs and analyze results
• Assist the preparation of JE's for month-end, QTR and YE
• Assist in the preparation of monthly allocations (facilities & QC, & EMS miscellaneous costs).
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reclassification of R&D inventory usage & no-charge samples to customers.
• Review all raw material, freight-in & freight-out AP
• Assist with costing recipes.
• Providing costing data as needed by corporate auditing firm and parent
• Continuous improvement in SAP knowledge, with the goal of becoming a super-user.

Required Skills/Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related degree
• 3+ years of standard cost experience in a manufacturing environment
• An in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and deep knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing.
• SAP experience Required
• Highly proficient computer skills and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent in English

Salary and Benefits:

• For California, the base salary range for this position is $71,600 - $92,900. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
