Anord Mardix, a Flex company, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its Finance team in Henrico, Virginia. You will prepare and maintain accounting records and analyze variances to support statements and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records and research and interpret accounting records to provide advice or prepare statements.
• Review Profit and Loss postings to ensure alignment with policy, processes and procedures.
• Compare actuals with forecast/quote and research variances for proper postings.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger schedules and address variances.
• Identify potential risks and ensure timely mitigations and proper book closure and reporting.

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 5-6 years of related experience.
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
