You will prepare ad-hoc summaries and variance reports while helping implement cost accounting policies and procedures to support manufacturing decisions.

SCOPE OF POSITION

The Cost Accountant is responsible for calculating and tracking operating costs such as labor, raw material, overhead, inventory etc.; analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods etc. to determine the effect on costs; comparing factors affecting prices and productivity; preparing ad-hoc summaries and variance reports; as well as implementing related cost accounting policies, systems and procedures.
