A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Cost Accountant who is ready to evolve into a broader role as Controller. This is a newly created position that offers the opportunity to take ownership of core financial processes and help lead a company-wide ERP transition.

What You’ll Do

Initial Responsibilities:

• Learn existing accounting systems, purchasing processes, inventory, and work-in-process (WIP) practices.
• Play a key role in implementing the financial components of a new Epicor ERP system.
• Oversee daily financial activities, ensuring ERP data accuracy and consistency.
• Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable/Receivable and operations to optimize cash flow and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with all payroll, sales, state, and federal tax obligations.

Future Responsibilities:

• Partner with operations to align financial practices with production goals.
• Build financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions.
• Prepare and present financials and business plans to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Transition into a Controller role, leading the financial planning and analysis function.
