Job summary

DeZURIK, Red Valve brand, seeks a Cost Accountant for our Gastonia, NC manufacturing operation. The role collaborates with plant leadership to drive cost accuracy, inventory control, and financial analysis, with a strong emphasis on operational insight and performance impact.

This onsite position features four 10-hour days per week, aligning closely with manufacturing teams and supporting growth through cost improvement initiatives and reliable month-end processes.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs, inventory accuracy, and manufacturing financial data.
• Execute cost rolls, review Bills of Material, support cycle counts, reconcile inventory balances, and participate in month-end close activities (journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations).
• Analyze manufacturing variances, identify trends, and partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering to drive corrective actions and cost improvement initiatives.
• Review cycle count results, support a Gemba walk, analyze cost drivers, respond to operational questions, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve plant performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as production volumes grow and help the organization navigate growth opportunities.

Red Valve, a DeZURIK brand, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our growing manufacturing operation in Gastonia, North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with plant leadership, gain deep operational insight, and make a direct impact on business performance through accurate costing, inventory management, and financial analysis.

This is an onsite position working four 10-hour days per week, providing a unique schedule while remaining closely connected to plant operations and the teams you support.

Benefits & Compensation

DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $66,296 to $82,870 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
