Job summary

Nutrabolt is seeking a Cost Accountant to ensure a precise inventory close and reliable costing data. You will maintain item master data, analyze production and purchase variances, and generate monthly reports to drive improvements in efficiency and cost control.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in cost/inventory accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics. Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills will thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2+ years of cost and/or inventory accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills (Lookups, Match, Pivot, data organization).
• Experience with an ERP or financial reporting and control system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics).
• Builds strong internal/external relationships and communicates clearly.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; proactive learner.

Responsibilities

• Support inventory close and ensure accuracy of item master data.
• Investigate production and purchase variances; create inventory adjustments.
• Generate monthly inventory reports and variance analysis.
• Reconcile production order transactions and reflect third‑party manufacturing usage.
• Monitor and report on production and purchasing variances.
• Assist periodic physical inventory counts at third‑party locations.
• Understand inventory movements and close process gaps with operations.
• Provide ad hoc reports and support PCAOB audits; ensure GAAP compliance.

This role will involve maintaining item master data accuracy, investigating production and purchase variance accounts, creating inventory adjustments, and generating monthly reports. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent proficiency in Excel.**What You're Good At:*** Manage and complete assigned tasks as part of the close process.* Maintain standard costs in the ERP system and maintain proper support.* Track, reconcile, and analyze production order transactions to provide accurate valuation and feedback for continuous improvement.* Work with operations to accurately reflect third-party manufacturing consumptions and productions.* Monitor production and purchasing variance accounts and provide monthly analysis reports.* Reconcile inventory balance sheet accounts.* Assist in periodic physical inventory counts at various third-party logistics locations.* Understand inventory movements in the ERP system and understand process gaps. Work closely with operations to close those gaps.* Ad hoc reporting as required by management.* Assist in PCAOB level audits.* Maintain compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant accounting standards.**What You Contribute:*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting* 2+ years of cost and/or inventory accounting experience, or similar* Strong Excel skills (Lookup, Match, Pivot tables, data organization etc.)* Experience with an ERP or financial reporting and control system (ex.
