Job summary

Pima JTED in Tucson is seeking a part-time Cosmetology Guest Teacher/Substitute to provide instruction and facilitate learning for students. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Arizona Cosmetology Instructor License, possess a valid Arizona teaching or substitute certificate, and have experience in Cosmetology. Compensation is $160 for a full day and $80 for a half day. Required application materials include a cover letter, resume, and a professional letter of reference. Cosmetology Guest Teacher/Substitute

This flexible part‑time as needed position provides instruction to students by facilitating established lesson plans. Manages the classroom effectively, and supervises students at all times.

Compensation

• $160.00/Full day (over four hours)
• $80.00/Half day (up to four hours)

Minimum Requirements

• Valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid Arizona teaching or Substitute Certificate
• Valid Arizona Cosmetology Instructor License
• Proof of MMR immunization required unless born prior to January 1, 1957
• Must have prior experience working in Cosmetology

A substitute certificate can be obtained if you have a Bachelor's degree in any area.

If you do not have a Bachelor's degree, an emergency substitute certificate may be requested by the District based on the program need.
