Job summary

Southern Careers Institute seeks a dedicated Cosmetology Instructor to teach post-secondary programs across Texas. You will plan lessons, deliver curriculum, and mentor students while adhering to the established institutional standards.

The role requires an instructor license, with a preference for candidates who have Nail Technician experience and prior teaching in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology Instructor License required.
• 1 year post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Strong Nail Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of the teaching field and discipline.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse students’ needs.
• Prepare lesson plans and teach courses per curriculum.
• Encourage development of communication and higher order thinking skills.
• Act as liaison between the school and TDLR.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Act as Liaison between the school and TDLR;
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Cosmetology Instructor License (required);
• Prior post-secondary related teaching experience of at least 1 year in subject matter is highly preferred;
• Strong Nail Technician experience.
