Job summary

Bayport Laboratories in Houston, TX seeks a Director of Operations/Plant Manager to lead daily operations of a cosmetic manufacturing facility. You will oversee production, quality, supply chain, and maintenance while driving safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in cosmetics manufacturing, demonstrated leadership, and a track record of improving throughput and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 10–15 years manufacturing operations experience.
• 5–10 years in a senior level management role in Cosmetics Manufacturing (Required).
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO 22716 and related standards.
• Experience implementing Lean/Six Sigma and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production, quality control, supply chain and maintenance across the plant.
• Lead budgeting, cost management and financial performance of the facility.
• Drive process improvement and lean manufacturing to reduce downtime and costs.
• Ensure GMP, FDA, ISO 22716 compliance and maintain audit readiness.
• Manage and develop a high-performing cross-functional operations team.
