Job summary

CarMax in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II to perform cosmetic inspections, final quality checks, and advanced reconditioning tasks such as paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing to meet CarMax standards.

You will work with a team in a clean, climate-controlled environment, handle multiple tasks at an established pace, and contribute to delivering high-quality vehicles customers can trust.

Qualifications

• Completion of CarMax training programs, including online and hands-on.
• Ability to read, interpret, and record data for inventory and quality control.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Execute standardized cosmetic reconditioning processes at a steady pace.
• Perform advanced cosmetic repairs including paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing.
• Complete cosmetic and final quality inspections to ensure customer-ready vehicles.
• Identify defects and determine best repair methods for optimal results.
• Support auction preparation and assist with vehicle movement on/off the lot.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate with team to meet goals.
