Job summary

Bright Innovation Laboratories in the United States is seeking a chemistry-focused R&D professional to create innovative formulas and adapt customer briefs to the company format. You will reverse-engineer products, develop new submissions, and collaborate with QA, QC, and production teams to ensure top-quality output.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry, at least 3 years of lab experience, and 3+ years in product development. Occasional travel and ongoing safety training are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related science.
• Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience.
• 3+ years Product development (Innovation) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop cosmetic products based on current industry trends, benchmark products or customer briefs.
• Reverse-engineer current marketed products.
• Create formulas for new product submissions.
• Assist in testing and approval of raw materials, finished and in-process items.
• Coordinate with QC, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Production to ensure top-quality finished goods.
• Scale up formulas and modify procedures to fit company needs.
• Ensure integrity and quality of customer formulations and troubleshoot production issues.
• Stay current on new technologies and ingredients via vendors and seminars.
• Monitor the first 3 production batches.
