Job summary

Sono Bello is seeking a highly capable RN to join our operating room and PACU teams in McLean, VA. You will assist in preoperative and postoperative care, monitor patients, and support surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure safety and quality throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, 2+ years in PACU or OR, and current BLS/ACLS certifications; strong communication and teamwork are essential. Full-time, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years PACU/OR nursing experience.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of operative care and anesthesia management.
• Ability to work well on a team and communicate clearly.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preoperative assessments and preparation for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure smooth procedures.
• Ensure patient positioning, sterility and safety during surgery.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status intraoperatively.
• Support sterile environment and instrument handling, document data.
• In PACU, monitor post-anesthesia patients and manage pain as needed.
• Educate patients and families about postoperative care and recovery.
• Provide post-operative wound checks and medication management.
