Job summary

DEL REY Systems & Technology, Inc. (DEL REY) seeks a COSIS Material Handler for on-site work in San Diego, CA. This role handles packing, labeling, material movement, and recordkeeping within shipboard and port environments.

Ideal candidates have an active or preferred Secret Clearance, CAC qualification, and demonstrated reliability in physically demanding settings. Responsibilities include assembling and inspecting containers, lifting heavy items, and transporting goods to delivery points.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
• Inspect and pack containers to meet packing specifications.

• Transport packages to customers' vehicles.

COSIS Material Handler

GOV San Diego, CA, US

Salary Range: $48,000.00 To $53,000.00 Annually

Qualifications:

• An Active Secret Clearance is preferred
• DLR Inventory work with Navy AK/SK (LS) experience
• Able to routinely lift 50lbs and climb ladders.
• The work is primarily onboard ship, in port.
• Must be able to qualify for a CAC
• Candidate must have Excellent Work Ethic and be Reliable.

Occupation Specific Tasks:

• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools.
• Place or put products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers from spouts or chutes.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
• Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools.
• Transport packages to customers' vehicles.

• Attach or mark identification onto products or containers
• Clean rooms or work areas from any items used during the shift
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
• Load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products
• Maintain production or work records
• Measure, weigh, or count products or materials
• Move or lift heavy objects
• Operate packaging or banding machine or equipment
• Package goods for shipment or storage (P700)
• Use hand or power tools
• Wrap products
• Carry out ships procedures and processes
