Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines invites applications for an Open Pit Driller to join Cortez Surface Operations. The successful candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment while contributing as a teammate in a dynamic mining setting.

Candidates should possess surface drilling/blasting experience, be able to lift at least 50 pounds, and hold a valid Nevada driver’s license. Night/day rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Surface Drilling/Blasting experience preferred.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license required.
• Heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to carry at least 50 pounds required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team required.
• Satisfactory safety, performance, and attendance records required.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure drill area is properly cleaned before drilling and maintain an awareness of what is happening in work area - other traffic, machinery and plant, individuals
• Perform other duties as assigned
