Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in Massillon, OH is seeking a production team member to support corrugated packaging operations. You will help prepare machines for production runs, maintain clean equipment, and coordinate with the forklift driver to ensure pads and materials are available for the line.

You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, overtime on short notice, and opportunities for a performance-based bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Verifiable work history for past 12 months.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the machine for production run per the customer order.
• Clean the machine daily.
• Order pads from the Forklift Driver per the schedule.
• Ensure pads are available at the machine for finished products.
• Monitor the run and notify the operator if there is a problem (machine failure, quality issue, or paper shortage).
• Prepare the product according to the shop card or for shipping.
• May be required to feed the machine occasionally.
• Work with various production machines and basic tools.
