Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is hiring for a production helper to support the corrugated packaging line in Palmyra, PA. The role focuses on preparing the machine for production runs, stamping with identification, and maintaining daily lubrication and cleanliness of equipment.

The position requires reading simple schedules, lifting pallets, and occasional machine feeding. Overtime, weekend work, and forklift traffic are expected in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
• Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the machine for production run according to the customer order.
• Prepares the stencil that stamps the product with identification.
• Cleans and oils the machine daily.
• Orders pallets from the Forklift Driver according to the schedule.
• Responsible for having pallets at the machine for finished products.
• Monitor run and notify operator if problems arise (machine failure, quality, paper shortages).
• Palletizes product for shipping per shop card or suitable method.
• May feed the machine on occasion.
• Adheres to ISO procedures and directions from the operator.
• Uses basic tools such as hammer and knife with various machines.
