Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Asheboro, NC Corrugated plant is seeking a 1st shift Corrugator Supervisor to lead daily operations from 7am to 3pm on weekdays with weekend coverage as needed.

Located in Asheboro, NC, the role focuses on safety excellence, quality, and efficiency on the production floor, coaching teams, and driving continuous improvement across machine centers.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, or engineering.
• Experience using the KIWI application is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety excellence and identify hazards with mitigation plans.
• Provide leadership on the operating floor and ensure safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance.
• Coach and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, production, and communication.
• Minimize waste and ensure best practices at machine centers.
• Identify repairs and create work requests for timely resolution.
• Track continuous improvement opportunities and lead gap-closure plans.
• Plan, assign, and direct work for hourly production employees and provide performance feedback.

Georgia-Pacific's Asheboro, NC Corrugated plant is now hiring a 1st shift Corrugator Supervisor to join our team! This is an exciting time to join our team on 1st shift (Monday-Friday 7am-3pm with weekends as needed).

What You Will Do

• Driving safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes
• Providing leadership on the operating floor and striving for compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality
• Coaching, training, and developing operations personnel in safety, quality, production, and technical and interpersonal communication skills
• Ensuring best practices are being followed for minimization of waste at machine centers
• Addressing key issues and concerns and interacting with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production
• Identifying repairs needed at machine centers and creating work requests for completion
• Tracking continuous improvement opportunities where performance issues are apparent and providing leadership/action plans for gap closure
• Planning, assigning, and directing work for all hourly production employees; appraising performance and providing feedback as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Supervisory experience working in a manufacturing, industrial OR military environment

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in manufacturing, business, or engineering
• Experience working with KIWI application
