SUMMARY

The Corrugator Manager provides frontline leadership for a single shift operating a state-of-the-art, high-speed corrugator, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting daily operating objectives. This role is responsible for coordinating personnel, equipment, materials, and workflow to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Corrugator Manager promotes a culture of accountability, employee development, and operational excellence while maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Lead all shift operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, waste, and downtime performance objectives.
  2. Direct and coordinate daily corrugator production activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  3. Monitor equipment performance and partner with maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
  4. Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate shift employees while fostering accountability and engagement.
  5. Ensure staffing, training, and cross‑training support safe and efficient operations.
  6. Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  7. Enforce company safety policies, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
  8. Ensure accurate production reporting, inventory transactions, and shift documentation.
  9. Coordinate shift handoffs and communicate operational issues to plant leadership.
  10. Support continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and waste reduction.
  11. Maintain readiness for customer and regulatory audits.
  12. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  13. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of corrugated manufacturing experience, including 2–4 years of leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of corrugator operations and high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience leading safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
  • Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently.
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, paper dust, varying temperatures, and elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection.
