Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting in Duluth, MN is seeking a Corrosion Engineering Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with pipeline integrity management projects in our Corrosion Control group and will receive training in procedures, standards, specifications, industry terms, and work practices.

Responsibilities include supporting contracting, design, and commissioning tasks; interviewing staff to understand projects; providing field assistance on cathodic protection and direct

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in an engineering program.
• Experience with MS Office and basic software tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with contracting, design, pipeline integrity management, and commissioning tasks.
• Conduct information interviews with LSC personnel to understand the industry and company role.
• Provide field assistance on cathodic protection and direct assessment projects.
• Support engineering and operations to identify inefficiencies and develop best practices.
• Read blueprints and interpret schematics for project work.
• Assist in preparing final reports, memoranda and data deliverables.
