Job summary

DNV in Dublin, OH is seeking an Entry-Level Corrosion Engineer to join the Corrosion Advisory Services group. This hybrid role involves developing corrosion control programs for pipelines and buried structures, performing risk assessments, and supporting field and lab activities.

You'll work with senior engineers to prepare technical reports and client presentations while building hands-on experience in corrosion engineering and data analysis. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Materials)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
• Pre‑employment background and drug screening to meet DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Contribute to corrosion control programs for pipelines and buried infrastructure.
• Perform corrosion risk assessments from environmental and operational data.
• Assist in root cause analyses of pipeline corrosion incidents and corrective actions.
• Conduct field activities like coupon retrieval and corrosion surveys.
• Perform lab testing using weight loss, microscopy, and electrochemical methods.
• Refine mitigation strategies including coatings, CP, and inhibitors.
• Interpret data from inspection tools and lab measurements to assess integrity.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare reports and client presentations.
