Metal Samples in Alabama is seeking a Corrosion Engineer to identify opportunities, manage client relationships, and provide technical expertise on corrosion monitoring technologies and services. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and expanding the corrosion monitoring business across industries.

You will stay abreast of industry trends, share technical guidance, and support product development while traveling for client visits and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or corrosion science.
• Proven experience in corrosion monitoring field.
• Knowledge of corrosion monitoring technologies such as coupons, online monitoring (ER/LPR), electrochemical techniques, UT measurements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to promote corrosion monitoring solutions across industries (oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, manufacturing).
• Continuously develop new products.
• Identify and evaluate types and severity of corrosion in various materials and structures.
• Create drawings, schematics and spreadsheets.
• Obtain registrations and certifications for offered product line.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development to meet customer requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on installation and maintenance of corrosion monitoring systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards and competitors.
• Attend trade shows, conferences and industry events to promote the company’s solutions.
• Travel domestically and internationally for client visits and events.
• Identify potential clients, generate leads and maintain relationships with customers.
• Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Corrosion Engineer in the corrosion and corrosion monitoring field. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing technical expertise on corrosion monitoring technologies and services. This candidate will also have opportunities to work on other engineering projects shop wide. Experienced in corrosion, corrosion monitoring or corrosion-related problem solving to drive business development for corrosion monitoring solutions is required. This role requires a strong understanding of corrosion principles, monitoring techniques, and industrial applications, combined with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering or science in relation to corrosion.
• Proven experience in corrosion monitoring field required.
• Strong knowledge of corrosion monitoring technologies such as corrosion coupons, and online monitoring systems (ER/LPR) preferred, electrochemical techniques, ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM), Injection and Sampling systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, Pro E, AutoCAD, Mechanical Drafting, ERP (Epicor).
