Become a Corrections Stock Clerk with the Department of Correction and make a real difference at State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Dallas. This role allows you to help keep operations running smoothly while working with a dedicated team. You will take pride in maintaining accurate inventories and assisting with essential services. This position supports the daily operations of the facility by receiving, tracking, and distributing inventory and commissary items. It also plays a key role in assisting inmate work activities and maintaining accurate records. As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will perform the following duties:

• Inventory Management: Receive vendor stock, inspect materials, match packing slips, and ensure the safety of the product when unloading
• Commissary Processing: Process inmate commissary orders, distribute forms; receive and scan (if necessary) orders, verify account balances, and record transactions
• Inmate Oversight: Provides orientation, training, and work assignments to inmates, maintain attendance, and provide input on inmate progress
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment to move large or heavy materials safely
• Record Keeping: Input inmate credits, payroll and pay raises, and document shortages or damaged items

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,524.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
