Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Social Worker 1 or a Forensic Social Worker 1 and a bachelor’s degree in social work or social welfare.
• Two years of professional experience providing direct public or private social work services, and a bachelor’s degree in social work or social welfare.
• A master's degree in social work or social welfare.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Responsibilities

• Program Coordination: Coordinate social service programs with agency staff and community organizations
• Case Documentation: Maintain records and reports needed to manage inmate caseloads and support case planning
• Reentry Assistance: Assist inmates with parole planning, reentry services, and community placement processes
• Follow-Up Support: Provide follow-up services to community-placed inmates to ensure continuity of care
• Policy Application: Apply federal, state, departmental, and facility regulations in all daily social work tasks
• Complaint Review: Investigate complaints or allegations of human rights violations and verify needed information
