Qualifications

• Three years and six months as a corrections officer with 18 credits in related fields.
• Bachelor's degree including 18 credits in sociology, counseling, psychology, social work, corrections, or criminal justice.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 18 credits in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Inmate Interviews: discuss adjustment issues and resources.
• Basic Casework: maintain simple records and routine reports.
• Program Guidance: provide information on educational, vocational, and re-entry programs.
• Communication Support: share updates with staff, families, and outside agencies clearly.
• Behavior Encouragement: reinforce rules and positive conduct.
• Caseload Assistance: help manage routine caseload tasks and documents.
