Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 18 college credits in sociology, counseling, psychology, social work, corrections, criminal justice, or related field.
One year of professional counseling or casework in a correctional facility or equivalent.
Ability to obtain CLEAN and JNET certification within two months of employment.

Responsibilities

Interview inmates and provide guidance to support positive adjustment within the institution and community.
Develop records, prepare reports, and manage caseload information; communicate with families, agencies, and staff.
Analyze tests, compile histories, review evaluations, and maintain documentation for sentencing, planning, and re-entry.
Plan programming with the Unit Team and participate in staffing discussions to support behavioral goals.
Assist with parole planning and secure identification and resources for release.
