Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorization as required, maintain visitor and vehicle records, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence in a correctional facility environment.
