Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across multiple correctional facilities on a temporary basis. You’ll assess, plan, and implement care, administer medications, and educate inmates while maintaining EMR documentation and regulatory compliance.

You’ll collaborate with physicians, mental health teams, and officers, serving as a clinical resource and mentoring staff, with leadership duties during absences. Travel to various sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and in good standing.
• High level of clinical competency in acute and chronic care within a regulated setting.
• Experience or exposure to correctional healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care across facilities, including assessments and plan implementation.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders; educate patients.
• Document care in EMR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and correctional officers.
• Lead nursing activities in the absence of management; mentor junior staff.
• Support infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
