Job summary

Duchesne County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Registered Nurse to evaluate medical needs of inmates and provide comprehensive care while upholding security. You will respond to emergencies and supervise Correctional LPNs under contracted medical providers and jail administration.

The role requires RN licensure, CPR, and experience in a correctional/clinical setting with strong documentation skills and adherence to laws and policies.

Qualifications

RN duties in a jail setting with clinical care and security considerations.
Experience with inmate patient care and emergency response preferred.
Must maintain accurate medical records and comply with laws.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to detained and committed individuals
Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
To administer CPR instructions and ability to take charge in a CPR emergency.
To administer medications, including IM injections, upon physician's orders.
Notify the supervisor and complete written reports for any medical or security incidents.
