Job summary

ap-md is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Corrections team in Phoenix, AZ. The RN will conduct patient assessments, implement nursing interventions, and monitor progress to ensure high‑quality care.

The position requires an active Arizona RN license, PSV verification, N95 fit testing, and at least one year of healthcare experience. Overtime opportunities and a collaborative environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or a participating Compact State.
• PSV verification through Nursys.
• Current N95 fit testing certification.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes to ensure optimal care.
• Perform standard nursing procedures, including medication administration and basic IV/phlebotomy skills.
• Educate patients on health-related topics tailored to their needs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation including care and discharge plans.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff, contractors, and students.
• Maintain safety and infection control protocols, including N95 fit testing requirements.
