Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Correctional Registered Nurse to join our travel healthcare team in Illinois. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to deliver comprehensive routine and emergency care to incarcerated populations.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state, has preferred correctional health care experience, and can meet federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well‑being of the incarcerated population.
• Address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population.
• Provide routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population.
