Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Correctional Registered Nurse to collaborate with physicians, officers, and administrators to deliver routine and emergency care to incarcerated patients in a correctional facility setting.

Applicants must hold a current RN license in the state of practice, CPR on request, and at least one year of correctional health care experience; travel between facilities in Oregon may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population.
• Addresses the challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to the patient population.
• Care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
