Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Licensed Professional Counselor/QMHP across Michigan. The QMHP will oversee a range of assignments to provide casework and treatment services to residents of correctional facilities. A Master’s degree is required and state licensure is necessary.

Candidates accepted include Licensed Master Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Psychologists. The role requires a Michigan license to practice and a Master’s Degree.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Michigan license to practice.
• QMHP/Counselor eligibility to work in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Complete and oversee a variety of professional assignments to provide casework and treatment services to residents of correctional facilities.
• Provide individual and group treatment and social casework for residents and families.
• Work within a treatment team to diagnose problems, formulate treatment plans, and evaluating progress.
• Prepare social-psychiatric case information, psychosocial assessment, and social work treatment plans, for use in pre-admission screening & diagnosis.
• Arrange for placement of residents in suitable homes; assist in patient adjustments to the community; evaluates patient needs for future care.
• Help residents arrange and receive facility services such as workshops, meetings, and employment opportunities.
• Sex Offender Treatment: perform risk and needs assessments and provide group/individual therapy; formal training provided.
