Qualifications

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist, or one year of licensed professional psychologist experience with inmates or individuals with mental illness or behavioral dysfunction.
• Must hold a valid psychology license in Pennsylvania or other state with acceptable licensure; PA licensure within one year if out-of-state.
• PA residency requirement waived for this title; basic training completed in Elizabethtown, PA.

Responsibilities

• Direct psychological staff in evaluations, counseling, treatment planning and crisis response.
• Oversee creation and improvement of counseling programs and support research activities.
• Lead facility committees responsible for intake review, mental health assessments and critical incident response.
• Set clinical standards for staff and evaluate testing measures for reliability and validity.
• Examine test interpretations and prepare or review mental health reports to guide institutional decisions.
• Advise unit managers and teams on treatment needs and participate in staff meetings to review inmate progress.
