Qualifications

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title) or
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
• Must hold a valid psychology license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or another state with licensure acceptable to the Board; if out-of-state, must obtain PA licensure within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision of psychological staff in evaluations, counseling, and treatment planning.
• Oversee development and improvement of counseling programs and policies within the institution.
• Direct review teams addressing intake decisions, mental health needs, and critical incidents.
• Set clinical standards and evaluate the reliability and validity of assessment tools.
• Review diagnostic tests and prepare mental health reports to guide treatment and classification decisions.
• Advise facility leadership on mental health concerns and participate in staff meetings.
