Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physician Assistant – Corrections to provide medical services to incarcerated individuals under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities include data collection, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering labs, and coordinating referrals.

The role supports primary care and other specialties in a correctional setting, delivering direct inmate patient care with adherence to applicable regulations and standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science field preferred.
• PA license/registration in practicing state required.
• NCCPA certification preferred but may be required by state or contract.
• One year PA experience strongly preferred.
• One year correctional experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS per state or contract requirements.
• Complies with relevant standards of practice.
• TB screening or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate current per contract or state regulation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical services to incarcerated individuals under physician supervision.
• Collect and document inmate patient data; perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies; provide professional consultations/referrals.
• Deliver direct inmate patient care in primary care and other specialties.

Educación

Bachelor's Degree in Health Science

PA License/Registration

NCCPA Certification (preferred)

1 year PA experience (preferred)

1 year corrections experience (preferred)

BCLS Certified

ACLS/PALS as required

Health certificate current

Must meet federal/state requirements

Must be at least 18
