Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILIATION & REENTRY seeks a Psychology Associate to support the CHP in meeting contract and regulatory guidelines. You will work with other mental health professionals to develop treatment strategies, implement plans, and assist in inmate research.

The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, quality improvement efforts, and education of CHP staff on crisis intervention and safety planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and active AZ independent license (AZBBHE) required.
• Licensed status: LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or Psychologist in AZ.
• At least 5 years providing mental health services to incarcerated populations.
• Knowledge of psychology, tests, and treatment techniques.
• Strong communication, research, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate inmate care.
• Support quality improvement and research on healthcare delivery in facilities.
• Educate CHP staff on crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment.
• Document assessments, evaluations, and treatment plans accurately.
• Coordinate continuity of care with contractors and community resources.
