Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. seeks a licensed Psychologist to join the ASPC-Lewis team in Buckeye, Arizona. You will deliver psychological treatment and support to inmates, collaborating with correctional officers and medical staff to improve mental health and reduce recidivism.

This on-site role offers a competitive hourly rate ($60–$74) with full- and part-time possibilities, emphasizing integrity, confidentiality and adherence to correctional healthcare policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychologist license in the Arizona
• Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
• Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges
• Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in providing assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of patients.
• Working with inmates to prepare them for reintegration into society, providing support for finding housing, employment, and other resources.
• Providing counseling and support to help inmates manage emotional challenges, cope with incarceration, and develop coping mechanisms.
• Coordinating, leading and participating in educational training activities related to mental health care
• Conducting risk assessments to identify potential dangers to inmates and the public, informing decisions about housing, treatment, and release
