Job summary

The GEO Group, a leader in evidence-based rehabilitation, is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to deliver outpatient services, assessments, and case management in a correctional setting in Florida. You will conduct interviews, provide counseling, and coordinate post-release care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include evaluating inmates, planning treatments, and ensuring timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health with licensure, provisional licensure, or registered intern status in Florida.
• 1 year of mental health services in an institutional setting preferred.
• Ability to work in crisis situations professionally.
• Strong counseling and motivational skills.
• Team-based work ability and collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear, concise reports promptly.
• Proficiency with computers and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health interviews, screenings, and evaluations and determine appropriate services and treatment plans.
• Provide full range of mental health services including individual, group counseling, and inmate consultations.
• Perform case management on 30-90 day basis for continuity of care.
• Prepare mental health documentation in compliance with standards.
• Consult with Security, Medical, Classification and other departments as needed.
• Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention as required.
• Plan post-release care and coordinate with community mental health services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
