The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to provide a full range of outpatient services within a correctional environment in Florida. The role includes assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis response, with ongoing case management and post-release planning.

Domestic travel is unlikely; you will work in a secure facility setting with collaboration across security and medical teams. A Master's degree and licensure are required to practice in this setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health with appropriate licensure or intern status.
• One year experience in mental health services in an institutional setting preferred.
• Ability to work in crisis situations professionally.
• Strong counseling and motivational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong report writing skills.
• Proficient with computers and standard software used by the department.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health interviews, screenings, and evaluations to determine services and treatment plans.
• Provide a full range of supportive mental health services including individual and group counseling.
• Offer case management every 30 to 90 days to ensure continuity of service.
• Prepare mental health documentation clearly and timely.
• Consult with Security, Medical, Classification and other departments for inmate mental health concerns.
• Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinate post-release planning and referrals with community mental health facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
