Job summary

Staff Today Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in St. Charles, IL to provide direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.

You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with wound care, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians and RNs to support individualized care plans. This full-time role requires an active LPN license, 1+ year of correctional nursing, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in IL or applicable state.
• 1+ year of full-time LPN experience in a correctional setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of physicians and RNs.
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and report changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with wound care, dressings, and nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and records.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on medications and post-care instructions.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Comply with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
