Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma equivalent and 3 years in correctional security or law enforcement.
• Two years in supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Must possess a valid Arkansas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise correctional staff and evaluate performance.
• Ensure safety and security by conducting security checks and responding to emergencies.
• Develop and implement policies to maintain order and discipline.
• Coordinate and supervise inmate movement, meals, work schedules, and transportation.
• Prepare and maintain reports on inmate behavior, incidents, and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct inmate searches and inspections to prevent contraband and ensure rules compliance.
• Provide guidance to staff and foster a positive, professional work environment.
• Attend meetings and briefings on security issues and operations.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to enhance public safety and rehabilitation.
