Management & Training Corporation operates the North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio, providing inmates with comprehensive medical services and health programs.

The Nurse Supervisor will oversee nursing staff, coordinate sick calls with physicians, review medication orders, and ensure compliance with state nursing scope and HIPAA regulations while maintaining high standards of care in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• College degree in nursing; active Ohio RN license; 3 years nursing experience.
• Must possess current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision of nursing staff and nursing care.
• Attend sick calls with physicians to see inmates; prepare the examining room and equipment.
• Call the Physician for medication and treatment orders and other emergencies.
• Examine and assess inmates with illnesses or injuries; refer to emergency room as required and document.
• Maintain the current master list of inmates and employees with CID needs or completed CID services.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement all public health programs required by state codes.
• Perform CID meetings and share information with Health Services Administrator and staff.
• Operate pill cart, dispense medications, ensure meds are given and lab tests obtained for STDs as ordered.
• Coordinate immunizations and ensure records are updated.
• Provide health education on individual or group basis.
• Practice cost containment and utilization management for patient care and facility operations.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and HIPAA compliance.
• Comply with pharmacy laws, especially controlled substances.
