Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates in a food-service environment within a correctional facility in Kentucky. The role includes training staff, coordinating tasks, and ensuring meals meet production plans while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

The position requires overseeing daily food preparation, portion control, and adherence to HACCP policies, with flexibility as duties may evolve with client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in use of recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the kitchen.
• Follow security policies and ensure tools/equipment are secured.
