• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates or team members for quality food production.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Good judgment and tact are required.
• Follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Aramark production guidelines and review logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in use of Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Obtain daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies and ensure secured storage areas and keys.
• Set work and sanitation schedules; supervise cooks and inmates accordingly.
• Assist inventory and receiving; storage and requisition orders as needed.
• Participate in HACCP-compliant food handling and storage procedures.
