Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates in meal production, train workers, and coordinate tasks to meet production plans and sanitation standards. You will ensure safety and adherence to regulations.

This role involves directing kitchen staff, reviewing logs, handling inventory, and enforcing HACCP procedures. Supervisory experience in corrections is preferred, with a requirement to obtain a food safety certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of food prep or related work.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and approve logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Prints and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and training.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas locked.
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are secured and returned.
• Prepare work and sanitation schedules and supervise adherence.
• Assist in inventory, receiving, and storage of food items.
• Participate in 5 P's production and postproduction processes.
• Follow HACCP policies for proper handling and storage.
