As a Corrections Food Service Instructor, you will lead inmate workers in food service operations at SCI Mercer. You can expect to instruct inmates in food preparation and production tasks through on-the-job vocational training. Your duties will include reviewing census and menu data, adjusting recipes accordingly, and recycling leftover food into usable food products to reduce waste. You can expect to inspect food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established safety and sanitation standards. Additionally, you will review inmate work assignments, conduct performance evaluations, and enforce custody and security regulations to ensure proper control over inmates.
