Job summary

You will supervise kitchen tasks, ensure sanitation, manage inventory, and coordinate inmate assignments. This is a full-time position, 40 hours weekly; telework is not offered. Starting salary is $49,010 with retirement benefits at 50 or 55.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service in an institutional setting or equivalent.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with reliability and integrity.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Background investigation and CJIS compliance are required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct inmates in food preparation, production, service, and baking.
• Ensure safe, sanitary equipment use, cleaning practices, and storage procedures.
• Oversee meal preparation according to recipes and standards.
• Inspect food service areas and inventory for safety and sanitation compliance.
• Review census, adjust recipes, and manage food and supply storage.
• Plan inmate work assignments and maintain performance records with supervision.
