Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Director for the South Dakota Woman's Prison. This leadership role oversees daily food production in a secure facility, ensuring safe, compliant meal service and efficient operations for incarcerated residents.

The position manages large-scale kitchen activities, supervises staff and incarcerated workers, maintains strict safety standards, and optimizes inventory and costs while meeting nutritional requirements and all applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 4 years of experience.
• Requires at least 1-3 years of experience in a management role.
• Requires previous experience in food service.
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams, including recruiting, training and coaching front line staff.
• Ensure food service operations meet safety, sanitation and regulatory standards.
• Manage budget and labor costs; monitor P&L statements and cost controls.
• Coordinate production, distribution and service of meals in a secure facility.
• Ensure menus meet nutritional requirements and client expectations.
• Maintain client relations and communicate operational progress.
