Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• Must pass CJIS background investigation and comply with CJIS requirements.
• Veterans' employment preference applies per PA law.

Responsibilities

• Direct inmate crews performing routine maintenance and construction tasks.
• Plan and assign work schedules and review completed assignments.
• Provide instruction on machinery operation and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain order and discipline during work activities.
• Issue, track, and inventory tools and materials.
• Determine materials needed for carpentry tasks and submit purchase requests.
